The OMC Johnson/Evinrude 310599 is a propeller shaft oil seal that prevents water intrusion into the lower unit gearbox and protects internal components from corrosion. This critical seal maintains oil retention around the propeller shaft. Compatible with OMC Stringer outboards 100-245 HP and Evinrude/Johnson outboards 55-115 HP produced from the 1960s-1990s. Interchangeable with part numbers 0777540 and 0308715. Replacement recommended as preventive maintenance during lower unit service.
