311598 OMC WASHER DRAIN-PLUG

The OMC 311598 is a drain plug washer made of reinforced nylon designed to seal the lower unit fill and drain plugs on Johnson/Evinrude outboard and OMC Cobra sterndrive engines. The washer fits 10mm drain and fill plugs and prevents gear oil leakage and water intrusion into the gearcase. This original equipment manufacturer part is compatible with most Johnson/Evinrude engines from the 1970s through 2006 and Volvo Penta sterdrive units. OMC and manufacturers recommend installing a new washer each time the lower unit gear oil is changed to maintain an effective seal.
