326956 OMC O-RING

The OMC 326956 is the o-ring seal for Johnson and Evinrude shift rod assemblies on 5.5-35 HP outboards from the 1950s onwards through 2011. This elastomer ring prevents water and corrosion intrusion into the transmission control mechanism, maintaining smooth shift engagement and preventing internal gear rust. Also known as part 301877 or 82900. Fits hundreds of Johnson/Evinrude configurations. Inexpensive replacement part; best replaced annually or whenever shift rod is serviced.
