Mercury-Mercruiser OEM zinc anode (825435), a sacrificial corrosion control component protecting marine engine materials from galvanic corrosion in saltwater and brackish environments. Zinc anodes corrode preferentially to steel, aluminum, and copper alloys, preserving engine block, cooling passages, and lower unit components. Standard replacement anode; inspect and replace annually in saltwater service or when 50% consumed.
